I’m starting a new chapter in my life, I’ve lived half a century, I guess I should view that as an accomplishment of some sort.
I’m not looking at what is behind me any more, I left it there when the clock struck midnight on my birthday, like Cinderella I bolted but instead of a slipper I left all the nasty doubts, perceived regrets and woes behind, including my quest to find Prince Charming.
For all the worries I had about turning 50, I must say it was by far one of the best birthday’s I have ever had. A big shout out to my daughter Fallon and her friends Angela & Jay for organizing the party. Thank YOU, Thank YOU Very Much!!!
Here’s a look at some of the highlights from my party, what you don’t see is the 40 guests that accumulated by the end of the night and the DJ, my good friend DJ Crash who showed up, set up and entertained us till after 2 in the morning –
Now that I’m officially 50, I feel surprisingly at peace with everything. The only thing that I am working on full time is being fit. I want to make sure that I see 60 as my next milestone.
I have stopped dating younger men, although extremely fun, I think it’s time to date men my age or even a bit older.
A women’s only travel group emerged from my party as we all chatted about wanting to travel and decided it would be fun to travel as a group and share accommodations.
It’s a Travel Together- All Girls Club
I’m writing more, I am submitting a short story for a contest, regardless if it wins I am extremely pleased to have finished it – it is called Gabrielle Forgot.
What’s next, well I can’t say for sure but I know that I want to focus on the here and now, I did notice that on valentine’s day this year I felt absolutely no loneliness, in fact I’m noticing that more and more.
I’m in the best place emotionally that I can be and I can only imagine what’s around the corner.
well ta ta for now :))
